how do you think we got our freedom by standing back.
in the public eyes iraq does not deserve freedom like ours. we need keep fighting the terrorist for the people OF THE WORLD from the terrorist who rule it. and we are not dictator we are freedom fighters who fight for FREEDOM, JUSTICE AND LIBERTY. unfortunitly people lost sight of it and voted wrong yesterday.
and morally we are now also headed in the wrong direction. people need to be responible for their action and not blame it on science or the society.

What most people need to remember is that we are not trying to hold Iraq. Yes, it is true that we have been there for a long time but look back at our history.
We occupied Japan after WWII in 1945 and we did not give total control back till 1972. Since that time US soldiers have remained there. To this day about 47,000 US military personnel are still in Japan on invitation of the Japanese government.
I think that the American citizen is failing to do their research before they vote. If they did then they would see how long it took to help the Japanese and they would also see that we could do the same thing in Iraq if we would stay with it.

I think timetables are a good idea. We cannot continue an open ended occupation of Iraq forever. However, these timetables should be expressed to the Iraqi ruling council only and should never be made public for 2 reasons. The first is that it would embolden our enemies and place them in a strategic waiting position. Second it does not allow for the possibility of setbacks which may occur and require adjustments of the timetable.

WE DID TELL THEM WHEN WE WERE COMING!!! Why do you think we never found the WMDs. They had enough time to move them into Syria (The Iraqi Allie who shut it's borders to the UN and Coalition Forces) before we got there. I do think that it was a stupid idea to broadcast that information, but I don't make those decisions.
