Try reheating the pan with some water and a few drops of liquid dish detergent. Boil the water for 10 or so minutes to loosen up the burnt residue. Keep an eye on it....if the boil is too rapid the soap bubbles will be all over your stove.

i do not study about the rice cooker project... yet when you're making rice (in a pot on the range) ... I run into a similar difficulty as you. How did I come to a call this difficulty? THE MICROWAVE! Yep, sounds extraordinary, yet my rice comes out ideal everytime! Are you utilizing lengthy grain? lengthy grain gained't come out gentle. The shorter the grain, the further the starch, for this reason, burns and gluey. although, you may make short grain rice contained in the microwave authentic, too - without burning. even in spite of the actuality that the accepted ratio is two to a million (2 water to a million rice) - for the microwave, I do 3 to a million and that i do not positioned a lid on it, I enable the steam damage out so it would not burn. After about 25-1/2-hour (relies upon on the wattage of your microwave), it is performed - and it is ideal. bypass with lesser time at the start (in case you do not understand your microwave's wattage)... and then keep including minutes if the water isn't all absorbed yet. Or in the journey that your microwave nuked out each and each and every of the water, although the rice isn't performed, upload a million/4 extra water and practice dinner on severe till that's absorbed. It takes some experimenting - although that's SOOO well worth it.... and that i have never had a subject matter contained in the microwave, it is continually fixable. while on the stovetop, it isn't. reliable good fortune. you may attempt this!

Gee, scorched-on rice is about the worst to get off ever! Try chipping off what you can w/ a spatula or other sturdy tool. Then get after what's left w/ steel wool. If the pot is NOT alumnium, do all that, then spray the residue w/ the old-fashioned "fumes" version of Easy-Off Oven Cleaner and let it sit awhile before scrubbing again w/ steel wool.

It is possible you may have to chuck the pot. Hope not, tho!

Take a can of something cheap, like baked beans. Put them in the pan and heat up to boiling. Turn the heat off and leave it on the hot ring. Leave it for 5 minutes or so and then scrape xxx

Vinigar is the way to go. Just put it into the pot and let it simmer for just a few minutes and then leave it for a few hours. The mess in the pot will come right off ususally in one piece

you must leave the offending pan to soak in cold water,
then when you cook again put milk in first. and do not have the heat turned up to much.
