You can adapt and convert the voltage, frequency and plugs all you want, BUT it still won't work. The US uses a totally different TV system from the uk. NTSC v PAL .

So sell it in the US and buy a UK one when you get here.

you will need a transformer to convert the actual power and regulates it to the correct voltage for your TV,not just an adaptor plug. the thing i am not sure of is the frequency range that your TV has, so it may not be compatible with the UK terrestial viewing but will be fine for digital and cable from the additional box through the scart plug. the ntsc and pal thing can be selected on most additional boxes i.e sky, ntl

There are transformers which convert the current with the proper voltage. I wouldn't buy anything at the airport because you are going to pay a premium. However, prior to leaving go to a reputable electronics supply house. Of course there is always Radio Shack.

Only if your tv can do 120 up to 220 otherwise it would blow up! Worth checking your antenna / aerial connection as well. You could compare it to UK tv's on any domestic appliance website

Use Google.co.uk and search uk pages only for

Dixons
Currys

and check UK tv specs

If you have the right converter for it then it's okay. I would probably go by an electronics store in the UK or here like Bestbuy and ask them which one you need. Good luck!

Would in not be cheaper to buy a new TV when you get to the UK? Its gonna cost a bit to bring your TV and to get in changed over.

If it is able to receive a PAL signal and display it and can tune in the frequency range then I suppose you could. Most of the rest of the world use the PAL system unlike your NTSC system.

With a converter, you can get it to work electrically. However, the broadcast standard is different in the U.K. If your TV is designed to work in the U.S., then it will not work in the U.K., and vice-versa.

The standard in the U.S. is NTSC, while in the U.K., it is PAL.

By the time you pay for haulage you would be as well to sell in USA and buy new in UK.

Yes you can take it, but you will have to buy an adapter for the power conversion.
