When I come to a complete stop, my 2002 ford focus shakes as if it's going to cut off.

I too have a Focus~2001, I had this problem as well and I had to keep pushing on the gas so my car wouldnt cut off, it went away once I got the spark plugs changed and had a tune up done, so try that it should help!

It could be any number of problems from a loose lug nut, any of your tires could be out of balance, your rotors could be warped for excessive braking or a bad set of rotors. Hope some of those ideas help you out.

You have possibly got a broken engine mounting or a slow speed missfire.Regards Mick UK.

................ one or more cylinder not firing .............. start checking with spark plugs ......... see if any cable has come out from the plug ............. see if anyone plug has oil in it ................if yes then cylinder fault .............. if no oil ............ get the car tuned ...............
