depends on how big, the location on the chest (over bones, fat, etc) and how much detail ( intricate, color, black and white). If you want the least pain go for the upper arm or back

On the collar bone and chest bone it is the most painful, ribs too.
I am a woman so I had a tad bit of cushion there for him to work on lol! The collar bone for me was something though, I do not know if you would call it pain more irritating...this one is 12" x 6"

It's very painful, but others say that it is worth it. Good luck on that decision.

Ive heard it doesnt hurt too bad if its not too big.What I hear from friends, not bad.... I am thinking about getting a tattoo on my back or chest too. so im curious to see what others think too.

No! They dont hurt on your chest. It may sting a little thats all.

very.... ur talking about a needle repeatedly going in ur chest. ur skin is thin and not to mention its rite one the bone
