Have new icemaker and the ice taste like plastic.

Clean it with soap and warm water. If that doesn't help, try using bleach cut with water.

MAKE SURE YOU COMPLETELY CLEAN ALL OF THE BLEACH OUT BEFORE YOU PUT THE ICE IN YOUR DRINKS.

Take the plastic micro-aquiglucher off of the water pump before use.
Everyone makes that same mistake with new ice makers. Review owners manual for micro-aquigulcher location.

Try washing it with a lot of soap in really hot water. Scrub it pretty hard and then dry it right away with paper towels. HTH.
