I am an avid collector of Native American artifacts. I do not collect anything fake, only authentic items. There are several great sites on the internet that you can find items. You will find that you get better results from a search engine if you type in Native American rather than Southwestern.... that is a phase term for decorating and not authentic.

The best ones come from the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) tribe from the Pine Ridge reservations in South Dakota. All of them made nowadays use a little glue.

That's as "authentic" as you are gonna find, outside of an Indian museum.

There are many places here in Oklahoma, they are all over the place-these little native american shops selling all kinds of hand woven and very cheap dream-catchers: keep an eye out for native american outlets there is quite a few down I-40 eastward

what do you mean by authentic? these days, you're not going to find an "authentic" one unless you want to pay a bunch of money for an original that was actually made and used back in the day. now, they are all made for selling. check around southwestern sites, in any case, and see if you can find any made without glue.

If there are any Native American reservations near you I would check them. If that fails, try a Native American casino (seriously). There are a couple of Native American casinos near me and they have some beautiful, authentic dream catchers in the gift shops made by people affiliated with the casino.

We have the Warm Springs Reservation where you can buy these. They are not hard to make, why not make one?
We have one on our wall and one in one of the trucks.....you will find them mas produced for it is a cheaper way to go. Here they do not charge a arm and a leg unless you want a great big one or one that is special in some way...
I am going to get another pair of moccasins they are sooo comfy!
Good luck with your quest....

You could try your hand at making one. One that is made by you personally might have a lot more significance to you that one that was made by a factory or someone you'll never meet.

There are plenty of websites on how to make them. :) Good luck on your hunt!
