Even if you've READ about him, that doesn't mean it's the truth. You never saw it written, you didn't write it, you didn't see him. I don't mind people saying they believe in God, or they believe God is like so-and-so, but no one can KNOW because they haven't met him.

Even if you've FELT him, personally, we feel a lot of things. And what about mentally ill people who 'see' and 'feel' things we would at an instant say were untrue?

Very clever, people - except: I know New York exists because other people can see it, feel it, hear it etc right now. I dont trust the bible because it has the cover of 'well...it all happened a long time ago'

I am not ungrateful at all. If anything I'm MORE grateful because I don't attribute the world to some human-esque 'creating' force. It is a lot, lot more amazing for me that this world is a product of the Big Bang, which happened for no reason (or at least, no reason that would make us feel any better.)

I totally object to being called ungrateful, I am grateful for everything I have and I love the world I live in. But I do not believe in God and I dont think belief in him would make me any more grateful.

I DID follow a religion. And without it, maybe I would be religious in my adult life. But religion for me went away with all the tooth fairy and santa claus babble. I'm spiritual, but I don't believe in such a human God - why would he be anything like us anyway?! Its a bit of an arrogant belief - why us rather than other animals?

The best way you can find out what the bible says in "real terms" is to read it in Hebrew. That is the original language it was written in. I find it useful when reading to have The Exhaustive concorance of the Bible near by.

I think you`re too insensitive to your surroundings, or ungrateful to all the beautiful things that surrounds you or making you happy and alive.
God made everything that you see. He made human being in His image & likeness. Look at your friend in front of you...he looks like a God.
There are many writings about God, many religions, many editions of the bible for centuries (all written about God), many countries accepts the existence of God...millions of human race believer.....
Do you think they are all mentally ill... and atheist are the only sane people??? or the other way around ???
Do you still find hard to believe there is God?
How about God writing the 10 commandments in tablet of stones? the BURNING BUSH that never burnt ?
The God who divides the sea for the Israelites to pass through when in near captivity from the Egyptian rule?
The God who talk directly to human being before prophets, messiah, and Jesus Christ.
etc.etc.etc.
Don`t be ungrateful man...or God will vanish your existence in this world you lived in without a trace ...for denying His existence.

By your flawed logic, if you never have been to New York City, but only read about it, HOW DO YOU KNOW IT EXISTS? "Just because you've READ about it, doesn't mean it's the truth." to paraphrase your own words. Do you see the foolishness here? Peace. Have a great day after reading Genesis Chap.one.

I never saw it written, I didn't write it nor have I seen Him. But no one can see Him because He is so holy and if we saw Him we will die. But mainly its faith. God is Someone you believe in so much because of faith and nothing else. We will know God because we read from the Bible about how He is.

By definition God must be supernatural and beyond the realms of human knowledge which is why from a rational viewpoint it's safer to disbelieve. Start believing in the unknowable and unseen and you leave the realms of sound logic and enter the realm of conjecture and illusion.

I have seen and heard Him! He manifests Himself unto ALL people. But we are blind to Him because Satan has blinded us. Jesus said that the only way that you could even see the Kingdom of Heaven, you MUST be "Born Again". When we turn from our sins and are baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of our sins, then God will give us the gift of the Holy Ghost, God Himself! Then you be able to see the glory of God in ALL things!

I rarely believe anything that an 800 year old man says. Plus I can't believe that any God would EVER have to kill. It just doesn't add up. The definition of "God" conflicts with the definition of "Murderer".
