If she has a father...ask him for his permission. It will melt your gf's heart, and get you in good with the new inlaws!!

It doesn't matter what day, or at what time really. What matters is to make it personal and from the heart. Do something special.

Some idea would be:
-Bring her to the place where you had your first date or first met to propose.
-come up with a unique way to give her the ring, like hiding the ring and having her find it.

Get down on one knee, and make sure to tell you how you feel about her and why you want her to be your wife.

My husband hid the ring in a cookie jar on Christmas eve, and told me he had decorated a cookie for me. I looked in the jar and there was the ring. What a surprise! He also hung a sign around our dog's neck that said "will you marry my dad?" it was very cute.

If she or the both of you have a pet you hold very dear, try the sign idea. It brought tears to my eyes!

Yeah today is fine, any day is good. Just don't do it. Actually try and plan it a little. Otherwise, you'll propose in a stupid place and that will be your story, and she'll never forget that. How can you tell your parents that you proposed in the back seat of your truck, or in the shower. At least try to make it somewhat romantic, without giving it away. Don't do something that you never would normally do, or else she'll probably figure it out and ruin the surprise. Good Luck.

There's no rule what day of the week you can propose to someone. In fact, I think the whole proposal thing has been blown way out of proporation. It has become this huge elaborate thing where you are supposed to spend about a zillion dollars coming up with an over-the-top, "creative" proposal scheme. How dumb!! And yet, some women really REALLY want their boyfriends to propose to them by buying out a billboard on the highway and advertising their proposal on it. You know your girlfriend well by now- is she the type who wants a great big fuss made over her, or is she the more low-key, practical type who doesn't really like big surprises? If she is aq "great big fuss" type of girl, you should wait to propose until this weekend and take her on an elaborate date complete with fancy dinner, violin player, the whole nine yards. If she is a low-key gal, she'll just be so excited if you just randomly get down on one knee, tell her from the heart how happy you are to be in her life, and ask her to please spend her life as your wife. That's all I would need. However, my boyfriend proposed to me onstage at my favorite karaoke bar unexpectedly one night, and it was one of the best, most unforgettable moments of my life. Just know your girl, zero in on what she likes, and the rest will be easy! Congrats!

It's the holiday season, so if you guys celebrate Thanksgiving or Xmas, it might be even more special if you proposed on one of those days (Thxgiving in only next Thursday). If you can wait a little longer, propose when the clock strikes 12 midnight on New Year's.

As far as approaching her, I think it's sweet to start off by telling her everything you love about her... then pop the big question. Location should be something you know she'll enjoy... it depends on her taste...

Good luck!

She is not going to care what day of the week it is silly! But make sure you make a big deal out of it even if you do it tonight. Make her dinner and go on a long walk, really make the evening about the proposal if you just casually hand her a box it wont be as special. Good Luck and congrats!

Do it in a way where it'll be special. All girls want that moment to be memorable. Do it as a surprise, too. Even if she doesn't normally like surprises, she'll love this one! And a Wednesday would be fine. Or you could do it on her favorite day of the week, at her favorite time.

any day of the week is fine. its just the timing in the day and the setting. it could be early in the morning when she wakes up or it could be in the middle of the day during her lunch break or it could be a night during a nice dinner.

the best way to propose is to just be yourself. dont worry about having to recite something so perfect or so cliche. most men (including my fiance) got down on his knee and confessed their love for the woman and popped the ring out and asked the question.

my fiance proposed twice because he felt he wanted me to have a real nice and expensive ring (i was happy with the first one tho) and he took me to this cliff off highway 1 near half moon bay, ca and took me out to the spot where we visited a while back and it was a spot that only him and i knew about. it was pouring rain and we were getting dreched and muddy... but he got on his knee out of nowhere and proposed again.

say what comes from the heart not from hallmark cards.

congrats!

I'm sure any way, any day you do it will be fine. If you want to make it special, go ahead, but be yourself. My husband proposed to me while we were driving home one night...he didn't even stop the car! LOL So it doesn't have to be this big, romantic, blow out affair you see on tv, just so long as it's from the heart. Best of luck to you, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
