I don't think micros are something you should get, but that all depends on how much hair you have now.

They are not in any way convenient. They cost about $300 not including the price of the hair. The hair itself is expensive because you have to use human hair, and it costs at least $10 a bad, and you will have to use at least 4 bags depending on the size of your head.

They usually take around 10 hours to put in (if you have long hair), and that's if you have a good braider. (they have to braid all the way down to the end of your real hair)

Just as a warning, you will loose a lot of hair when you take them out (no matter how careful you are). Your hair sheds 100 strands a day- think about this and imagine all the hair that was shed ends up tangled in the braid. Because the braids are so small, they chew up your ends, and they rip out our edges. Not to mention, it takes twice as long to take them out than it did putting them in.

The only benefits of micros is that they last a long time, you can keep them for 3 months if you take care of them properly. And yes it is true you have more style options.

In the end it's all up to you. Weigh you choices- do you want to have hair that looks cute for maybe 3 months. Or do you want to keep the hair that you have now on your head and in good condition.

Sorry so long. Hope this helps.

lots of factors: how long is your hair, how thick is your hair? how small do you want your braids, how far are you getting your braids braided down, how fast the braider braids. Going from one extreme to the other... they can take anywhere from 5-6 to 14 hours.

There is a lot of controversy about micros. Microbraids will not harm your hair as bad if you follow these guidelines: 1) do NOT get them teeny tiny. If you want your braids to look small, you can gte them smaller around the edges to give that illusion. 2) DO NOT....please, please do not let anyone put any glue on your braids. I dont care waht they say. Some use knots...I really dont like them either cuz they are obvious. I use gel and spritz...yes it will be kind of hard at first, but they will soften up 3) try not to leave your braids in longer than 2 months 4) keep your hair moisturized 5) when it comes time to take them out, do not rush. Take your time and do not yank any hair. Lots of people claim that micros took their hair out, when actually they were the ones yanking it out.

I love the versatility of micros. Nothing can match it. But it does has its drawbacks (mainly taking them down). I would go for 2 strand twists. Less harmful effects and it only takes like 2 hours to take them down.

hi lol I have braids in now and try most braided styles except 4 tree braids and cornrows in general yes there good b/c its small enough 2 style or if u want 2 them up, at first I usually got micros but in the long run found out that they're not really good b/c they can pull out yr hair lol. All braids can do that but since its a tiny piece of hair braided onto yr hair it can cause more damage then good especially around the edges and crown.
.When I 1st got micros it took like 6 hours depend on how fast he or she braids. If its yr 1st braids get them and c if its 4 u but more me I like a slighty bigger size braids like a medium micros(if there's such a thing). :p
You can try many styles I mostly find my styles of the Internet from ppl and websites and bring the pic 2 my stylist.

Micros are definitely a good choice. You can create many different styles with your braids ( pony tails, curls, up-do's). The amount of time it takes depends on who's doing the braiding. The 1st time I had them, it took 9 hrs ( this also included potty breaks & food breaks). But the second time it only took 5 hrs. I had a professional do them the 2nd time and we only stopped so I could use the restroom one time. Make sure that who ever braids your hair doesnt do them too tight, this causes breakage and a recieding hair line!!!

It all depends if you have someone who stays on your head is a fast work and know what they are doing then about41/2 hours but if you have somebody that's doing your hair their own hair and talking on the phone and eatting at the same time then about 4 or 5 days
