I'm not sure if you are experiencing what I do, but all my life (I am 19) I have gotten severe leg pain, focused around my knee [mostly the left one] and it almost always happened at night. I've been to the doctor for it but the doctor said it was just growing pains (complete crap). I am just finding out that I might have fibromyalgia but I'm not sure if thats related. So I guess I can't really help you in the 'what is it, for sure' thing (sorry, lol.) but as for taking care of this pain, I usually take two aleve, if its moderate. But I've also found that propping my legs up relieves some of the pain. When I was little, my doctor recommended these stretches (like laying on my back and lifting my leg up, holding it) but honestly I can't remember if it helped, but I figured I'd throw it out there. Wow.. that really didn't help at all, I'm sorry :-\

I suffer leg pains at night but also during the day as I have Neuropathy in both legs, just one of the effects of being diabetic for 36 years, I don't think that you have that, are you on you're feet a lot of the day it could be that you're legs are not getting much rest, put you're feet up at night raise you're legs when you are asleep

yes. leg pai at night is more common than you think. it can be as simple as that you are wearing the wrong shoes on the wrong floor to RLS restless leg syndrome. For the past 3 years I have suffered daily with neuropathy. Well it’s been just 1 week and I just cannot put into words how brilliant my results have been.
