Thanksgiving is on the twenty-third this year. But the thirtieth is also a thursday. I thought thanksgiving was always celebrated on the last thursday of the month; and in this case, there's still one more thursday in the month. But there is no friday...since the thursday is the last day of the month. So the last friday of the month is the twenty fourth. But I thought that the only reason employers gave that friday off was because they thought ppl would take it off anyway. IF this is the case; then why isn't thanksgiving holiday on the thirtieth instead of the twenty-third? Just really curious. HOnest answers please, thanks.

Since everyone else gave the reason, I'll say what my first thought was.

Doesn't matter to me -- turkey dinner is my FAVORITE meal of all times! It just means I get to have it a week earlier!!

i'm the lazy decorator. I do all of it final minute, and that's a pair of few weeks till now Christmas. do no longer even question me how long it takes to take down trip decorations! it extremely is approximately early adorning. i assume my left-over decorations ought to be seen very early adorning.
