May depend on what it's for. If it is something you should have taken 2 months ago, like an antibiotic, the pharmacist may need to call your doctor.
If it is a NEW medicine for you, one you have not taken before, that might also have to be re-verified.
Anyway, best bet is to ask you pharmacist. He or she will either say OK, or will call you doctor to double check.
Once you have filled a prescription and if there are refills, those can be refilled at anytime up to a year (usually).

Actually it depends on the script, there are some prescriptions that are only good for 7 days. If you are not sure what it is bring it to your local pharmacy and they will help you out.

It depends on the state you live in. And it depends on what the prescriptions is written for. Control medicines will have a shorter expiration.

It can filled within 1 year. But if it's for a Class II,III or IV, it has to be filled within 1 month.

I don't know if it depends on what state you're in or not, but I know where I live(Ohio) you have 60 days.

You should call the pharmacy and ask them
