Yes, it does. Just because you join the Mormon church doesn't automatically mean that you are not a member in the Catholic church.
Before you join the Mormon church, have a look at the contradictions in the church. The Book of Mormon is supposed to be the most correct book on earth, but it has a lot of ideas in it from the Bible on salvaiton and the nature of God. This BOM does not have any references in it to support the LDS notions and teachings on the nature of God and salvation!

I was Catholic prior to joining the LDS church. While no one is going to pull you aside and ask you to renounce the Catholic Church, by being baptised, you are witnessing that you have accepted the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This in no way means that your prior church was evil or of the devil or any such nonsense. Most Christian churches provide a very good gospel foundation. However, as others have indicated, we do profess to be Chirst's true church here on earth.

I hope that this helps.

Yes. Any Catholic who joins any other Church is renouncing the Catholic Church and is subject to judgment.

Technically yes. But it doesn't mean that you can't have friends who are Catholic, or visit a Catholic church for special events. Conversion to the Mormon Church would change your belief system, not your social life.

The answer is yes. The Mormon church condemns other religious systems especially the Catholics. I know, I used to be Mormon. And Nia is correct, if you join a Mormon church, you renounce your soul.

Mormon Apostle Orson Pratt wrote: "The gates of hell have prevailed and will continue to prevail over the Catholic Mother of Harlots, and over all her Protestant Daughters;...the apostate Catholic church, with all her popes and bishops, together with all her harlot daughters shall be hurled down to hell.. ." (Pamphlets by Orson Pratt, p.112).

Mormons claim that in 1820 god their father who is also the father of Satan and is exalted polygamous man on some far away planet, and his son, not Satan but Satan's brother Jesus Christ, visited Joseph Smith and told him that he "must join none" of the churches, "for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: 'they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof'" (Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith 2:18-19).

Mormon Apostle Orson Pratt answered some questions about other churches:
Q. Who founded the Roman Catholic Church?
A. The Devil, through the medium of Apostates, who subverted the whole order of God...
Q. But did not the first Protestant Reformers receive their ordination and authority from the Catholics?
A. Yes: and in this manner they received all the authority that their mother church was in possession of; and the mother having derived her authority from the Devil, could only impart that which his Satanic majesty was pleased to bestow upon her. (The Seer, page 205)

In 1958 Mormon Apostle Bruce R. McConkie wrote the following under the heading "Church of the Devil":
1. All churches or organizations... which are designed to take men on a course that leads away from God and his laws and thus from salvation in the kingdom of God; and 2. The Roman Catholic Church specifically — singled out, set apart, described, and designated as being "most abominable above all other churches." ( 1 Ne. 13:5)... There is no salvation outside this one true Church,... Any church or organization of any kind whatever which satisfies the innate religious longings of man and keeps him from coming to the saving truths of Christ and his gospel is therefore not of God. Such agencies have been and are founded or fostered by the devil who is the enemy to all righteousness. (Mormon Doctrine, page 129)

Apostle McConkie went on to call the Catholic Church a "satanic organization" and demonstrated that the Book of Mormon said that "the devil" was "the foundation of it." He cited Book of Mormon 1 Nephi 13:1-10 to prove his point.

If you join Mormonism you are renouncing Christianity altogether, not just the True Church founded by Christ.

When you join the Morman Church (LDS) you do give up the Catholic Church and its teachings but you do not judge the church if it is wrong or right. There is only one judge.
