I think that it is a bit like asking do you like anything, as there will be some people that say yes and some that say no.
Most Americans I have met I would say yes, but not having met all the millions of Americans I cannot say for certainty. As for the other way round I think that a lot of British people think that Americans are arrogant, insular and rude.
Where a lot of Americans think British people are arrogant, prudish and stuck up and generally annoying!!
Aren't stereotypes wonderful?!!

Do families always see eye to eye? The Americans suffer from a slight inferiority complex, due to being colonized, much as the Brazilians do about the Portuguese. Actually, this complex accounts for a lot, in so far as it tends to be expressed as arrogance. But deep down, we're all family. Now, talk about the French...!

As long as they are nice to me, I do not have a problem with them. The few that I have meet have always been nice. They have also given me an open ended invitation to visit them any time I want. Then again there are several Americans that I do not like because they are rude toward me.

I like 'em, a lot! I love their culture, accents, the way the speak with the words they use. Very proper and classy, & they have beautiful, handsome blokes!! Wish more of them lived in America. But it's more of a reason to visit the UK. So, that's ok. ;p

Yes ......They love us.......
You have to go to places on the western coast but avoid the urban areas. In general avoid all the big cities. THe friendliness of the Americans is found mostly in the rural areas.
