Go the salon and have them style your hair the way you wish you could get it. Buy the products your stylist recommends, like root boost, hair gel, etc. Use a heat protectant to avoid the drying that comes with styling your hair with heated utensils. To put moisture back into your hair I would try a conditioning treatment like Loreal or a jojoba oil treament, or you can have one done at the salon for a little bit more money.

How long is your hair? Buy the large size velcro rollers and roll up your hair before you blow dry it. Keep them in for as long as possible, even after your hair is dry and spray some hair spray on the one or two rollers at the crown of your head to help keep your hair firm up there. You can also tease your hair at the crown of your head to get the full effect that is popular right now.

First get all the residue out of your hair. Wash your hair with Zest soap or liquid dish soap 3 times. If you are blond rinse with lemon juice. If your brunette rinse with vinegar. This will clean your hair until it's squeaky clean. The vinegar and lemon will remove the hard water build up in your hair. Then try a full body shampoo and rinse. Do this one time and you will see the difference in your hair. You will be surprised how much, all that we put on our hair builds up and makes it hard to deal with. Also by washing the scalp till it is clean, clean the hair follicles will be less plugged and your hair will be healthy looking and thicker. Eat jello for healthier hair and fingernails. I use sugar free and either drink it or eat it when its sets up everyday.

You could try mousse instead of rinse. Bend over and blow dry your hair with it combed down towards the floor.

Feel free to shampoo dry hair as often as necessary. Use a gentle conditioning product. If it is protein-rich, it should be gentle and nourishing for your hair. A variety of these products is available in most stores.Condition your hair after every shampoo. If your hair and skin are extremely dry, buy a humidifier for your bedroom and always use it in cold weather. It will protect your hair and skin from the drying effects of indoor heat. A natural way - twice a week rub olive or castor oil into your scalp at bedtime. Wear a plastic cap to avoid getting oil on your pillowcase while you sleep. Shampoo it out the next morning.

Try CurlFriends leave-in conditioner. It's about $24 I think, for 4 oz. Don't remember exactly. But it's really good. Keeps hair hydrated without weighing it down. A leave-in conditioner is a good solution to extremely dry hair, as it provides continuous protection from dehydration.

tresemme is good but in general use a conditioner after shampooing and another thing you dont have to shampoo your hair for a long time when doing it this takes out most of the natural oils from the hair especially the scalp, and also use a little hair grease to put back the little oil lost from shampooing. (and this is not pertaining to shampooing - when it comes to a good moisturizer for your skin use baby oil, again the skin produces oil and NOT lotion & cream.)

Well I had the worse hair in the world, thanks to my Dad. Now I use TRESemme Volumizing Mouse. Sometimes I have to use the curling iron after I dry it but I don't care, it stays curled for 3-4 gays and then goes to a more blow dried look.

Try a clarifing shampoo and blow dry your hair. I always lean over and let my hair hang and blow dry it that way and I get alot of volume!
