I never thought he was the greatest that was like the cowboys calling themselves Amercias team.. Or the Yankees calling themselves the best ball club These names are given to oneself by them self. Ali was a good boxer but the greatest in my humble has to be the great Ray Robinson the fighters in the 50's fought more then the fighters today or even in the 70's. No one can claim to be better then anyone else unless we were to put all fighters against each other with a computer and see who would come out on top. Interesting concept though.

Here we go again! i dont know who gave him that title but i can assure you he wasn't. WHY? you ask, It is very simple. HE LOST!! More times than 1 he lost. And not only did he lose, but he got worked over for 40 minutes. Frazier, Foreman, Norton beat him like a red headed step kid. lets take a look back at not only a champion, but an undefeated champion, who went 10 years without ever tasting defeat, or even the canvass for that matter because if he didnt knock 'em out, the opposing corner threw in the towel. Here's to Rocky Marciano, The Greatest Champion of all Time, and the one one who would stone cold smoke Ali by the 4th round.

He never was. Sugar Ray Robinson lost only one fight in his first 100 something fights. He lost to Lamotta. Then he avenged that loss 5 times. Robinson fought when they use to fight 3 times a month. He had crazy skills. On a P4P basis Ali is not in Robinson't league and never was.
I also think Joe Louis was a better heavyweight. Louis had 20 something title defenses.

I met incredibly some boxers, often because of the fact I used to field (amateurs). i've got met Joe, Marvis, and Jacqui Frazier when I experienced at Fraziers (I went decrease back to my unique well-being club- front highway- solid human beings, nonetheless), TIm Witherspoon (large guy), and Demetrius Hopkins (Bernard's nephew, i think- he experienced at front highway for slightly). those are in all likelihood the main properly-recognised names, even with the actuality that i grew to become into actually surrounded by way of expert boxers daily for some years. My fave tale is Demetrius Hopkins: He grew to become into utilising the sit down up table and that i grew to become into utilising the cost bag- and he had to circulate there- "inspect you you attractive little fighter" or some thing like that- oh I went off on him. Ha ha ha- i think of he grew to become into the only human being who certainly hit on me so of course. (incredibly some the adult men I experienced with have been fabulous notch adult men and supported me and the different women persons on the well-being club extra so than maximum adult men do outdoors of the sport- properly, this is in simple terms my very own interpretation)

maybe not physically but there will never be a boxer that can play with your mind the way he did. I think his mental aspect of the sport is higher than any before or after him which in my opinion beats physical strength on the cards.

I think that he is. Anyone can agrue about who would win a fantasy fight, but no one can argue Ali's ability to market a fight. Ali certainly put boxing on the map with his wit, humor and charisma.
