He is there.

He could come talk to me, for one.

The Bible is filled with examples of God chatting it up with mortals. Job, Moses, and Abraham have had these conversations. Or so the Bible says.

Then again, Odysseus supposedly talked with the gods, as well.

Yahweh doesn't talk to anyone today. Neither do the Greek gods. So, while the Bible and the Odyssey are interesting to read, they aren't worth taking seriously.

If Yahweh exists and wants to be worshiped, then he would make an effort to let me know this. Since I've heard nothing, I can either conclude that Yahweh does not exist or that Yahweh does not want my worship. Either way, I'm fine.

I think to have a person believe in God will take faith mostly. Well it should. You shouldn't belive in God just base on evidence though there are some books that have research and proves that the Bible is true. One of the books is by Lee Strobel 'The Case For Christ'. A really good book. Well one thing is right. You cannot prove the existence of God thats for sure.

Evidence or nothing else but faith can bring someone to believe in God. No one can be forced to believe in anything. The evidence of God is all around us if we choose to believe. If a person requires proof of Gods existence in order to believe, all you can do is pray for them and leave them in Gods hands. If you try to prove Gods existence to them, they only become more resistant. The best solution is to "let go and let God".

They have to be willing and want to believe first. You cannot make anyone believe in anything if they don't want to. I was forced into a Lutheran church by my parents, trying to make me accept their beliefs. Now I am a Druid, and very comfortable in my religion and lifestyle. I've had girlfriends tell me that if I don't accept the Bible, they'd leave me, well, they left me. I don't want to be a Christian, I don't want to be a Catholic, and I don't want to be a Mormon. And nothing anyone says or does will ever make me change my mind. But back to the topic. How do you plan on forcing someone to believe in your religion if they are happy with what they are? You going to open up another Inquisition and go on a killing spree for non-believers? Good luck with that.

You'll need to drag him, kicking and screaming, into a laboratory; and let every scientists who asks poke and prod and measure and study him until we understand exactly what he is and how he does what you claim he does.

That's to believe IN God. Now, to get me to BELIEVE God? To convince me that his way is the right way for me and that I should do what he says? He's going to have to explain WHY. Not some preacher claiming to speak on his behalf. Not some musty old book written by a bunch of Bronze Age goatherders. HE has to explain it; and the reasons why need to make the kind of sense and logic a being of infinite knowledge and wisdom ought to be able to provide.

Evidence is needed for physical things or science. When we talk about God or Religion we are talking about Faith. This means that you Believe or not in God, but you can't prove or disprove God's existence. That's why God only exists if you have Faith.

Any direct evidence. But there isnt any. I havent seen God, heard God, felt God, smelt God, tasted God. This Biblical God hasn't done anything in thousands of years, why not?! Least not something as big as to affect everyone. And if God suddenly proved himself/herself to be good and loving and the kind of God I'd respect.

Pretty much any kind of evidence besides "I FEEL it" and "It's in this really old book, see" and "Lots of people believe, are you saying they're all wrong" (or other things along those veins). Yeah, any OTHER kind of evidence might help.

This works for all the other gods, by the way.

God must draw you or you can never turn to Him. It is spiritual not natural. You turn to God by faith not being able to see Him but your faith sees Him. Evidence that you believe in Him is the big turn around. You will be changed by the power of God.

Solid, verifiable evidence that stands up to all scrutiny might persuade me consider the possibility of a god - but if you think you can "make" me believe, you've already lost.
