Two things, one (and please dont be offended by this) but $350 is not that much for a mens watch. Two, he cant wear it in basic training. When I went, they made us turn in our jewelry and but these shitty cheap watches that only displayed military time.

What's your intention? That's a hard gift , because he might not be able to take it with him. If he knows you can't afford it, he'll think you're irresponsible with money.
I know it's sexist, but if he's like most men, any message you are trying to send with an expensive gift, like "don't go" or "I'm buying your love" will go right over his head. So you needn't worry about either of those things, and in fact, if you're expecting a certain result, you'll be disappointed because they don't play along.

coming from someone in the army giving him the watch would be a good thing, however i dont think giving someone a gift wont stop them from leaving you, however it will make him think of you. you have to keep in contact with him and let him know that you are behind him and support him 100% sometimes just getting a letter in the mail or a simple postcard is more than you think at times. as for the watch, because of the price, he will not be able to wear it during basic training or AIT. however they will alow him to keep it in his locker.

I dont know what it is like in Army boot camp but when I went into the Marine Corp's they took everything from me even my watch which they gave back after I completed boot camp. so if you really want to give it to him only to have it locked up for the time he is in boot camp go ahead or you can give it to him as a dual gift when he graduates.

If you bought it for him, give it to him. But-that is an expensive present for just a BF. If you guys break up-thats a small change of dough to lose isn't it?

do you be attentive to his wide-unfold movie? wide-unfold rugby group? For my husbands birthday, i offered him a programme from a liverpool fc tournament (his fav group) that replaced into performed on the day he replaced into born. I additionally offered him a movie cellular from his wide-unfold movie. I have been given them the two on ebay and that they have been somewhat much less costly. This left money for me to get him a jumper he were watching, and nonetheless made it right into a particular present. so as which would be my thought.
