Hi,

The Kennel Club are running an Accredited Breeders Scheme & have links to puppies for sale on their site (The Kennel Club Puppy Sales Register). They also give general advice on getting a dog & advice on where NOT to buy a puppy.
Links are on this page:

The Champdogs site has already been mentioned - I think that it is mostly breeders of show dogs who advertise here.

The list of breeders also shows where the they are located. I think that you'd have to contact them direct as none of the puppies listed for sale are in Scotland. There is also a list of Westie Clubs on this site.

Another good site to look on for puppies that can also be searched by area is the ePupz site.
http://www.epupz.co.uk/
Here you can search by breeder, by puppies or dogs for sale & for information on rescue. You can also select place - normally county & not region. However, to get contact information you have to join the site - this however is, I believe free & it also gives you the opportunity to choose to be notified by email when an advert is placed that matches your criteria.

There are also some adverts for Westies in Scotland's Evening Herald (towards the bottom of page 1 - unfortunately, don't know how old the ads are):

Hope that this helps.

do you have a local rescue/rehoming centre near you? if so then go there, you could be giving a home to a dog in need rather than paying money to greedy breeders.
