Either a power wheels anything or a bicycle. Anything sports such as a basketball net. Just something that they can go outside to play with.

I have a 6-year old, a 4-year, and a 2-year old (all boys). Board games are something that I like to encourage because it's a fun family activity and they learn a lot at the same time. My boys like video games, but I'm always leery of them playing too much. There are a lot of options for outdoor equipment too (balls, camping gear, snowshoes, etc.). I think the key is to find something that you can spend time doing with them rather than toys that keep there attention for 10 minutes and they never play again.

What i used to do was give my children the argos book or a toy catalogue and tell them to put a mark near the things they liked. I would then choose some of the things they had marked. Its not easy nowadays to buy christmas presents for children they seem to have everything at a young age lol. Good luck with this one xx

show him some toy catalogues, like Back to Basics Toys, let him pick. How about an aircraft carrier with jet planes? I'm getting that for my son, he picked it from one of the thousands of toy catalogues we get. Also, the LeapFrog book with sound and the touch pen is great.

he's into wrestling so I'm getting him some of the action figures that he doesn't have cuz he's already got the cage and ring and most of the wrestlers even his favorite John Cena. I'd say find something that goes with whatever he's into and make sure that he will play with it more than just that day.
