im doing a project for school and i cant find anything on adoption statistics. I need to know roughly how many children are adopted each year and how many people are waiting to adopt each year, and how many children are actually put up to adoption each year. 10 points to the first accurate answer that seems fit. thank you.

Depends on where you're talking about, so far, children in 1999-2000 living in the US who were in foster care were 581,000 total... the amount waiting for adoption out of them were 127,000 kids total... the rest i'm not so sure about...

That is a vague question. If you are looking for the information just in your home state / the US / the entire world...? I know in NE there are about 5000 waiting children to be adopted, most of which are over the age of 7. Children are taken out of homes everyday, some end up going back home while others stay in the system or become adopted.

their are alot of kids in the USA that need to be adopted they are in foster homes. we have an adopted little boy we adopted him at 6 wks. my husband was adopted at the age of 3. so i wish all the girls would give up their babies instead of aborting them cause their are alot of couples waiting to adopt. it took me and my husband to get our baby boy 3 yrs. to long to wait. you can sure tell their are to many abortions being done if a couple has to wait that long.

Kids that don't get adopted have to face the meat grinder.
