What would be a general estimate to remodel a 12x5 ft. bathroom?

Estimate on just tile and fixtures and paint or wall paper for the walls. $700 to $1500 depending on how fancy you go on the tile and fixtures.

Full remodel with new tub sink toilet, tile, walls lights fan fixtures etc.... $1500 to $5000.

There is a big price range on sink and tub fixtures.

We specialize in Kitchen and Bathroom remodeling and a good rule of thumb would be to take the area in square foot...
12' x 5' = 60 Square Foot
In the area we are in "Waco Texas" the average cost is about $35.00 per square foot for typical fixtures and above average tile. Includes the cost of labor and materials.
So the project would be around $2100.00 for a nice project.
If less expensive materials are used you can figure about $1600.00 - $1800.00

Check at home depot and they have someone to help you fill out everything you need and give you a price. Then you can decide if you want to cut down or cut something out.

I would agree, that $1500, -$2500.00 is the area you will need to spend

Depends on where you live. We live in Virginia, just outside Washington DC, and got quotes anywhere from $12,000-$25,000 per bathroom for a total remodel. As you see in the above post, prices vary pretty wildly.

I did one of our full baths myself (without new floor tile and with a reglazed tub) for about $1300.
