Your system may be be genuine. The Windows WGA trojan that Microsofts calls a "patch" is wrong 17% of the time!

If you have a disk simply re-install everything. Ot, you can do a search onliine for "removing WGA" and get instructions on how to get rid of that crap. Remember, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER download anything from Windoes that will allow them to monitor your system

You can not do much except buying a new version of OS now. Or you can wait sometime for WIndows Vista to be available on Jan 30 and then buy that. WIndows Vista prices are in the below link.

Sorry, but the only thing you can do is to purchase a legal copy of Windows XP. To make things even worse, I think you need to purchase the full version.

Not sure you can make it legal. That is what the updates called "windows genuine validation tool" does; checks for illegal/bootleg copies of windows. It won't update anything if your copy is illegal/counterfiet.
