Neither. I don't let others' actions or words impact me personally that way. Whatever other people say or do is about their frames of reference, their perspectives, and therefore whatever they say or do is about them, not me. I have no time for people who have nothing better to do than sling poison at others.

It depends who's saying it. It would bother me if someone I know well like a friend or family member said I was ugly, but otherwise i honestly don't care what random people think of me. I know how smart I am so I don't ever get upset if someone says I'm stupid. I have enough self-confidence to not worry about other peoples opinion of me, I just wish more people thought the same.

In the US we tend to not call anyone ugly because it is very offensive - but we routinely call things people do (not the people) stupid. For Latinos the opposite is true: Feo - is often used to describe people but you would be very offensive using estupido!
