You can get Absinth in Canada if you live close enough (I live 20 minutes away). I know my friends ordered a bottle online but it cost them nearly $200. I don't know the legality of ordering booze online but I'm pretty sure that it's illegal. It might be like online gambling the regulation of online gambling -- not strictly regularted by the United States.

Since you are probably buying Asbsinth with the intent of getting the halluciogenic properties, you definitely want to stick with the absinth without the "e" or absinthe. The absinth you really want is made in the Czech Republic and it's gotta contain wormwood.

The Wikipedia article on absinth is great. It's sold with no restriction in British Columbia so if you can get there, great. Perfectly legal to buy, still not legal to bring it back to the US.

Absinthe became no longer banned "international," that would desire to be incredibly much impossible. Absinthe remains very criminal in Germany, and Amsterdam would be a considerable place to get you a surprising huge criminal bottle of absinthe.

The French make it and bottle it to export it to other countries. (Even though it is illegal to drink it in France.) It can be purchase in England in a good quality Off license and Food halls that stock wines and spirits.
A bottle (70 cl) bought in Latvia this week worked out at £3.95 approx.
Also there are two types one with the original potent herb wormwood in (which makes it loopy juice)and has a thick darkish green colour and another which just has that menthol taste and pale in colour more seethrough.

There are two or three ways,

Absinth is illegal in The USA and other countries as well, so you can bet it will be hard to find

You or a friend can make it, i had a friend who made it... but it didnt work so well.

some places will carry it, but they are usally self owned licqor stores and it will not be publiclly displayed so you have to ask they seller if he knows where you might be able to find it. sometimes they will have it and they will show it to you...

remember it is highly illgeal ... so dont look/or act like you are trying to get them in trouble. you will have to shop around too there are not allot of these places.

your only other best bet is to travel to Amsterdamn :-)

people on Absinth have chopped off their ear and sent it to his lover....
i think that was vango :-)

Good luck

Telling you in advance the ingredients in Absinthe are derived from a medicinal plant called Wormwood and are considered toxic. That said, follow the links provided.

Depends on where you are.

You can buy it here in Canada, but it doesn't have the wormwood in it and it is still pretty expensive.

If you want the real stuff (which you do) you will likely have to order it...or do as I do and have your friend bring you a bottle when she comes back from her visits to family in Prauge each year...lol.
