How fair is this?

It's simple to me. My gf is the paradigm of a giving person, literally gives until it hurts, which was great for a while, but, obviously, she burns herself out routinely. So I can only speculate as to why she's like this, and I do have my theories, but how fair is it? If I take from her all she gives me, she'll burn herself out. If I reject it completely, she'll resent me for not accepting her. And if I take it sometimes, but not all the time, which has been my approach so far, she keeps me at arms length b/c I'm not interested in her enough. Are my only real options leave or keep putting up w/ it?

Don't be so quick, you are not "out of options". If you love her and want to be with her then you need to talk to her about it.

Explain how you feel and show her how she is hurting herself by "giving too much". She may not realize she does this. Maybe you can help her figure out a way to find a "happy medium".

Have you talked to her about this? Maybe you need to give back in return and it won't make you feel so bad with all the taking. She sounds like a great person if she's going to give you her all, so do the same for her. =) Good luck!

well i genuinely understand her approach,its nothng fishy bcoz no one cud hurt himself or herselg to win ovr other she is not doing it intentionally but jst like that bcoz she loves u deeply(i thnk she mght be a piscean)in return she jst hopes for ur unbiased love and nothng else

she is an extreme giver , to a fault. thats who she is. either take it or leave it
