It all depends on where you was parked, if you parked in an area that shows warning clamping signs? Then no. If you parked on a double yellow, that was not T bared then yes you can do something about it. A double yellow line has got to be complete and where it ends, lets say at a junction, both the yellow lines have to be finished off I======= as in the symbol. If it not T bared then yes you can claim your money back.

Should of paid the £20 , you have no proof to give when you ring up the clamping company to enquire about it ! Sure they would of put the money in their back pocket`s , no doubt they do it all the time , but without proof nowt you can do i`m afraid ! You must of been parked illegally in the first place to be clamped ! i hate these clamper`s as much as everyone else but the laws on their side !

Probably not. It's a well-known fact, towns give tow-truck operators lots of leeway in charging you money, because they want you to abide by the rules.

always keep a cordless diamond tip grinder in the boot to cut them of it works for me and throw the clamp in the boot and sell it on eBay... loads of people with caravans enjoy them hehehe have sold loads so have my mates but make sure you don't do it with the government firms they will have a log on the system of your car good luck ;)
