You may have issues regarding a low self-esteem. Your questions seem to be your attempt at determining your self-worth by finding out how others feel about you. You seem to have a great need to be validated by others.

You sound like a very sensitive individual. It is how you feel about yourself that is most important, not so much what others think.

It looks like you may have a few issues with security. Your behavior looks like you constantly need assurance. Your friend is really saying "Why are you always questioning my loyalty to you?" Why do you feel the need to always feel secure and why can't you be secure in yourself. You are presenting yourself as a needy person who always needs attention. Honestly some people are put off by that. The questions you are asking are questions you should already know the answers to if you are truly friends with that person. Your friends may feel that if you are constantly questioning your friendship with them then maybe you are not as good as friends as they thought. I think you should stop asking the questions about friendship and just relax and be a friend. True friends accept you for who you are and you shouldn't have to ask why.

Yes, those questions are personal and will push people away. You can ask lots of questions, but not those type. I'm not sure why- people are just afraid of answering those type of questions.

they do push people away, because those questions become very tedious. and it seems like you're always looking for compliments, like when you ask why they want to be your friend, it can seem like you are wanting them to list all your qualities.
