TAXES: As a public employee, I probably get more taxes taken out of my pay than anyone.I seriously doubt all of it is being spent on illegal immigrants.

How interesting-all the problems we have is the fault of immigrants including the economy and healthcare. This administration is so smart, getting people all stirred up about immigration and no one is really looking at the economy where the middle class struggles and the upper classes do better and better. No one looks at the way healthcare costs have skyrocketed until 40% of US citizens are uninsured. and those in the upper income tiers get the really good healthcare. Meanwhile this administration is building highways to Mexico and Canada while it talks about securing the borders. People, you've been fooled...this is a Conservative link for those of you who think it's a left-wing conspiracy theory.

It effects any citizen who pays taxes. Emergency room services for one Dallas hospital supplied to indigent (estimated that 90 % of the walk up indigents are illegal aliens) for last year was just shy of 80 million dollars. The majority of that money was supplied by local taxes and the rest supplemented by federal taxes. That's money taken straight out my pocket and spent on the welfare of illegal aliens.
We all saw campaign ads about the quality of education for our children. In texas over 20 % of the children attending our schools are from illegal immigrants. This number is only going to rise as the immigrants have children at a much higher rate than the citizens of this country. That's another huge chunk of our tax dollars spoon fed to illegal immigrants.
They impact every facet of our social and physical infrastructure. There is a reason the government places limits on the number of people who can legally immigrate every year. Our country's public services simply aren't designed to handle the overload.

Looks like you got an overwhelming agreement here on how the illegals affect Americans:
High taxes
lowered wages
stifled education
abuse of TAX paid assistance
destroyed neighborhoods
increase in criminal activity
arrogance
racism ("from" the illegals against Americans)
I agree with every one of these and more.
Hope we opened your eyes and answered you question plain and clear.
Look at all the thumbs up. (^_~)

It very severely affects my kids quality of education in the LAUSD. We are looking at middle schools and from safety and education quality standpoints, the selection is sick-making.
Also, health care is impacted, very noticably. ( I spent a good part of last night in an emergency room, and once again had massive delays, technicians and Hispanic patients who glared at me as if I were an intruder, and a man who - I kid you not - came in about half way through and started yelling to the entire waiting room about how the signs should be in Spanish. This was a private hospital which I chose on purpose because I didn't want to get into the even longer wait and worse conditions at a county hospital. I pay more, since I DO pay, but I probably saved a couple of hours.)
It really matters. It is not just something we dreamed up.

I pay taxes. So it hurts me. My tax dollars are going to people who don't deserve them. Someone is collecting social security illegally and hurting my retirement. My children will be learning at a slower pace because of people who don't understand the language spoken in the country they chose to live in. I have to deal with houses in my neighborhood with half a dozen POS cars parked in front because there are so many people living there - property values are going down because of it, which means I'm losing money. Should I go on?

It affects me in my paycheck each week when I see my taxes rise and I know for a fact those taxes support not just legal American citizens, but illegal immigrants who do not deserve one red cent of federally supported assistance.
It affects my family when wages are depressed to the point my children can't get jobs that pay more than 6.50 per hour to work at to supplement them while in college due to the suppressed wages of jobs, such as waitresses, dish washers, yard workers, babysitters, etc. (Sometimes those are the only jobs available, until a better one opens up and they once paid better per hour. I KNOW because those same jobs paid more when I was in college)
It affects me when the neighborhood I was raised in has suddenly become so trashed and overrun by illegal immigrants that no decent American family lives there any longer.
It affects me when I see my American countrymen cursed, spit at, given the 'finger', my flag flown upside down beneath the flag of another country on USA soil, when I see one particular group of people demand rights they don't have, disrespect our laws, think they can come into our country illegally and change our laws to suit them, change our language, our anthem, our culture, and our "NAME" to suit THEM. Yhe now think they can change our name from "AMERICAN" to 'united statesian', how pompous, arrogant, and self rightous can any one group be? NO one is more 'RACIST' than them.
So, YES, it affects me DIRECTLY and PERSONALLY!!

My family can't afford insurance so if the clinic isn't open we have to go to the emergency room, illegals never pay their bills, so to off set that cost, the average price for a sprained ankle is $1,000 dollars. We could wait to go to the clinic but what if it is a broken ankle, or the sprained muscle in your chest was really a heart attack? I have been disabled for 2 years but I don't receive any benefits. I have lived in the U.S. my whole life and worked my entire adult life until I got sick. It hurts to tell your own child that we can't afford Christmas when he sees Illegals ( we live in a small town in Mn. everyone knows who is undocumented ) buying $500 worth of food on an EBT card and then pulling thousands of dollars in cash out of their pocket to pay for the non food items.

The last job I was able to get was under the table, and paid $3 per hour. The illegals have all the good jobs!!! (And I was working with three illegals at that job!)
Not to mention crime, taxes, and medical services that don't get paid for by magic!

I pay taxes. Big chunks of money and i should have the right to expect my taxes best serve America.
I have been assaulted by illegals...and on that day I promised myself that I would continue this fight till it was done. This is one I am passionate about....
When I saw the Mexican flag being flown, carried and paraded through my town I knew we were being invaded by a foreign country. Our freedoms, our lives, our values and our future is at stake. It is worth my time, effort and money to fight this.
I see on your profile you have 0 tolerance for racism, let me clarify, you have 0 tolerance for anyone who has an opinion not in line with your own.

If you carefully analyze this question, you would understand that it affects each american who pays taxes. Our paychecks are shorter for the taxes we pay to support illegal immigration. Illegal immigration affects law enforcement, medical services, education and numerous other entities. In order to pay for the services that illegals use...who do you think pays for this. Take a course in economics 101. The government pays for this by raising our taxes...which in return...makes our pychecks shorter. I'm sick and tired of bringing home less to support those who violate the law. So...yes...it affects everyone personally. I could use those savings to buy my kids more and save for college for them.
