Totally. The whole idea of trying to create any kind of 'community' is completely undermined and becomes a farce when big businesses are allowed to pay for the privilege of ignoring the rules and blatantly use us all as a captive audience for advertising. I don't mind banner ads on the side - Yahoo do have to make money - but using the forum itself brings down the principle of what they are claiming to create.

It's not so much the fact that it's Sainsbury's doing lazy market research - it's the naff questions like

What's so comforting about soup?

What the ?????

Yes,they're basically stealing peoples ideas and ripping them off..
its precisely why on almost all of their questions I say 'Tesco does a very good version of that' or 'I loooooovvvvvvveeeeeee Asda'.. haha!
I used to like Sainbury's but because of the fact their stealing peoples ideas on this I'm not going to purchase any of their products anymore..

Not in the least. This site is private property, and there was a terms and conditions form for you to e-sign when you joined, so it can be run however Yahoo! deems is best. If we don't like any part of it, we can choose not to participate.

i work for sainsburys and im sick of the sight of it.

generally they are just trying to better themselves in as many ways as possible
