mozilla firefox is already my default browser but recently told me to update and download firefox 2.0, downloaded it and when i try to install i get the message that 2.0 is not a valid win32 application, im on XP and have never had this with any other downloads, whats up?

you don't want firefox 2.0 it is bad i hate it trust me you want to stick with 1.5. it is so much better. there is nothing new with 2.0 but the icons any ways

Try downloading it again as it sounds like the file got corrupt in the transfer process (it is like interference on a bad telephone line). Hopefully the second download of the installer will work better. I assume the win32 message happens when you try and open the install file which you have downloaded.

If you still get problems try posting in the firefox help section - they are really good (it is on the Firefox home page).

I recently downloaded version 2 for Mac and I still haven't experience anything wrong with this new version so far (keep my fingers crossed). I am still hesitated to update to version 2 for my PC at home as I heard a lot of you out there complaining about the new version not being stable. For now, I just sit and wait.

You were just unlucky and got a corrupted file. Doesn't happen often but when it does it's a bummer.

Try downloading the installation file again. It may have been corrupted during download.

most probably the installation file is somehow corrupted...
go to: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html and download again and try

I suspect that you may not have temporarily disabled your anti-virus software before downloading.
