They are suppose to fight at 130lbs. However, due to Morales having a lot of trouble getting to that weight I heard that there is a $500,000 penalty for every pound he weighs in over! The Pacquiao camp has agreed to fight Morales at 132lbs with the penalty. But they will NOT fight him if he weighs in at 133lbs. They will just walk with the money. I watched an HBO special on this exact topic. When fighters cut weight a lot of them will wait till the last week to start cutting. It gets as bad as then trying to cut 10lbs the day before weigh in! Which is horrible for your body. I believe Morales tried to cut this way in the past and it effected his performance. This time around I have heard that he has been slowly cutting weight the last couple of months and it has left him alot stronger. Rumor is he will make the 130lbs fine this time. I think we will see a much better fight this time which is exciting!

Mr Kick ~
The Answer to your question is, as of Last Saturday 11/11/06 Eric and Manny both weighed 136 pounds, that's 6 pounds over the 130 pound limit. Neither fighter should have trouble losing 6 pounds in the next few days if they haven't lost it already. Now if you want to read about what will happen if Eric doesn't make weight read the above answers.
Eric weighed as much as a 150 pounds before he started cutting weight. Eric actually lost the weight properly for this fight, 4 months ago he went to Velocity Performance Center in L.A and worked with a strength and conditioning coach lost some weight in the process and went back to Mexico to train in the mountains of Otami where he has held camp for the past 5 years and has a chef cooking him special meals. He has been cutting weight gradually instead of starving himself. This should make a huge difference in the outcome of this fight.

I dont think this will be an advantage for pacquiao...because Morales is slowly loosing the weight (as stated above), and he can loose the last 5lbs or so by dehydration before the weigh in....then he can drink a few gallons of water after that and not only feel fine, but also come in heavier than pac man.
