This is not a joke I did run over cat today, and I feel absolutely horrible about it. Another creature died as a result of something I did. What do you think happens to animals? Do they have souls.
Did the cat die cause it wanted too, or it had forfilled it's purpose?

I have done that, and it made me feel horrible, too. It's very upsetting to know that your actions caused a life to be extinguished. Very upsetting. But I have no doubt it was an accident, as it was with me. If it was a family pet, remember the good times. My wife and I often speak of our favorite pet, who died several years ago. He lives on in our fond memories.

If a cat can't get into heaven, no one can.

All animals have a soul. The cat that you ran over will not go to heaven. If its time is up in the animal world ( HELL) then it will get another chance at becoming a human being. The it can strive to go to Heaven ( merging with the LORD) If it lives a good life according to the 10 commandments. No the cat died because its time was up it has now to go to be born as something else. In other words it has fulfilled its purpose

It died because you accidentally hit it. It didn't want to die nor was it here to fulfill a purpose. It was just a cat in the wrong place at the wrong time.

You feel bad, which is good since it shows you have empathy for other creatures. But you didn't do it on purpose, so don't beat yourself up over it.

Who knows if cats or other animals have souls. I wouldn't get too worked up over thinking about that. You're still a good person. Move on.

Awww poor kitty. I would love to make a joke if you weren't serious, but I feel you are, so I won't. I have never run over a kitty, but many squirrels have fallen under my tires. I think, if we have souls, our animal friends do too. Hopefully that cat did plenty of living before it died. But, many cats are killed intentionally everyday in shelters that can't care for the masses of them that come through their doors. I love cats, I have 4 right now. And it bothers me alot everytime one dies. So, yes if there is a place our energies go after our bodies can no longer contain them, I think our animals friends will find happiness there too somehow. Purpose is not something cats worry about, I think.

I'm sorry you feel bad, but you've to understand that accidents do happen. If you're an avid cellphone user, this will teach you a lesson about paying more attention to your driving. If it was an honest accident, and it may very well be (Critters like cats run pretty fast, so they can be unpredictable) then you should let it go. Was the kitty in question a pet of yours or did it belong to someone else? Did you find the owner?

Please tell me you stopped and tried to find the cat's owner. I'm not trying to make you feel guilty, but I had a kitten hit by a car once and I LOVED her, and she had a collar and everything and the people who lived across the street from where she was hit found her and called me and I was absolutely devestated that the person who hit her didn't even care enough to stop.

Sorry, really not trying to make you feel guilty, but please say that you stopped.

As for going to heaven, I don't believe in heaven, so I don't believe it did, no. I do, however, believe in a spiritual plane, and I do believe that the cat's spirit survives on the spiritual plane. I've had mediums tell me a whole flock of cats surround me because I draw them (I'm Wiccan and have had cats literally my entire life - it's like having arms).

Yes, go ahead everyone, give me a thumb's down or say I'm a loon. Baast will smile on me anyway.

Blessed be.

well, every animal, from a dust mite to a polar bear has a soul. their soul is what gives them animation and life, which God gave them. and no animals don't go to heaven. you didn't do it on purpose, so don't worry about it. the cat didn’t necessarily die because it wanted to, but because it was the result of an accident.

You should feel a lot of guilt right now. You ended a living thing's life. It is dead. There is nothing else that happens to it now, other than decay. But don't worry yourself too much. Let the grieving process happen and eventually you'll feel better. Probably by tomorrow morning.

In physical terms, everything is concentrated energy (thought). Energy cannot be destroyed; the cat is no longer (in our terms) a physical being, but its energy continues.

It is not your fault. It was an accident (once more: in our terms); energy is also love, since God is energy/love, and God is All That Is. Don't despair. Nothing has died, ever. Everything created remains as created.
