The essence of ones being is unconditional love. some just have it buried under layers & layers of ignorance. Unconditional love passing from the heart into the world through the minds concepts of duality & emotions is divided into positive/negative & conditional love/ hate. we fear things we do not understand, fear produces anger, anger produces hate, hate produces insanity & then we try to distroy that which we fear.

Religion teaches hate because of it's very nature. There are way too many divisions of religion. Spirituality on the flip side is the translation I believe got overlooked. Jesus did not say go among the world and teach each person aa different thing to believe. I am quite sure it was not meant to be treated as lightly as the child's game of whispering in someones ear and telling them to repeat it in another child's ear and down the line until you find out what the last child actually got out of it. Each of us is responsible for asking God exactly what he wants for us to do. I certainly would not trust the person next to me to hear everything verbatim and hand it to me without flaw.

All religions do is offer guidlines for behavior. If humans would TRULY take the messages of the world's different religions to heart, then everyone would treat each other the way we should. however, when religions also teach that 'they" are the ONLY ONE TRUE religion, than people will attempt to convert all they know to this true religion and will often react badly when another person doesn't believe the same way we do. Also, remember that Faith comes from God, but Religion is a human invention. that being said, I see no need to say anything further.

Its not the religion or the teaching that creates hatred, but its because there is no one to practice REAL religion or LOVE...Everything is a business now, and everyone has the same attitude.."SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST".

Thats why hatred grows with the growth of religion!

yep - A lot of people miss the point. Somehow we get it in our head that it is our job to police our neighbors instead of love them. It's a natural human weakness to want to be better than others I think. We miss the point of love.

I do think that it is loving to let people know when they're sinning so you can help them get better, but I also believe we're only responsible to do that for our brothers and sisters (fellow believers)

IMO - If someone doesn't believe, and in my beliefs that means they're going to hell, does it really matter what sins they commit now?? (besides those that are damaging in this life) The Bible says that God's kindness is what leads people to repentance. IT doesn't say the hammer brings them. We are supposed to love those outside our faith and that will be more convincing to bring them in. Once inside, we WANT to grow and be better people. In that setting we are willing to accept confrontation and it helps us to grow.

Not all religions teach love. Not all religions teach love to all people. Not all people are religious. Not all people can force themselves to love just because a religion tells them to.

there is a great disparity between what we know and what we do. The problem is our society focus more on the knowing then we do on the doing. We just continue to gain more and more knowledge but never actually put it into practice.

Because people tend to become fanatical in a cause. There are plenty of religious people who are perfectly nice; so be careful with generalisations.
