I have been with my boyfriend going on eight years, and he has cheated on me MORE than a couple of times in that eight year relationship. I am totally crazy Jealous over him. He has been talking to a girl on MySpace, They have exchanged numbers. He say's they are just "Friends" and he is sorry I can't trust him and he would never cheat on me again. He hasn't in over a year, but I'm still afraid he will!! Should I try backing off some and how do I do that? Or what?? I don't know what to do, my being Jealous is hurting our relationship!! Please help!

you have given him plenty of chances to show that he no good for and you have a right to be jealous and that girl is not just his friend. if he was in a committed relationship with you he has no need exchange numbers with another girl. open your eyes baby, you deserve better.

Here it is in a nut shell.
He cheated!!! That alone is a very selfish act. When someone cheats, it's up to them to gain your trust back. Going to chat on My-Space certainly doesn't fit the bill. He doesn't sounds like he cares much about your feelings. He's giving you some lame @ss "Sorry"
I wouldn't accept that!!! You only get the respect that you demand. He already knows that he can get over on you, so why should he stop now?
He clearly takes you for granted (8 years) He feels like you are a definite and is probably bored with the relationship but is too selfish to say so.
Make the first move and tell him to roll out if his My Space friendship is more important than your feelings

If he has cheated more than once, he will do so again. He knows full well you'll take him back, so why should he bother to stop hurting you? Only you can stop this from reoccuring, and tell him now to stop chatting with other women. If he can't be with you and you only, then throw him out on his a*ss, which is what you should have done the first time he cheated.

sorry sista, u need to move on w/your life. if u cant trust him then no way can u be happy. there is someone out there for u. go out w/friends and have fun. stop wasting your time on a loser who gets other females from myspace whaile he has a girl friend. this is cheating only if he did not tell u and u found out on your own.i dont know how old u are but life is to short. dont be a push over live life to it's fullest. life is beautiful..enjoy it w/someone who wont hurt u.........

If he has cheated on you more than once, then you should have left him a long time ago. You are just hurting yourself by staying with him. And eventually, he will cheat again and this time, it will be painful becuase your jealousy will take control of your heart and mind. Time to move on, leave him already.
