A filter with 2 xtals in it is called a Half-Lattice filter. You can cascade two of these, or use a Full-Lattice filter to employ 4 xtals.

Both, 2-crystal and 4-crystal filters are used in 3-Tcxo, Vcxo, Vc-Tcxo, Vco, and Ocxo oscillators. I believe the 4-crystal type is especially for GPS applications.
