sometimes respect is earned and other times it respect of being an older person. if you act like an idiot or a nasty type of person well you will get no respect. its all in how you treat others so if you respect others they should respect you

Join the Army. No PLEASE DON'T DO THAT!!! I made that mistake but I wasn't looking for respect. I gain by treating people with respect. There's a saying DO UNTO OTHERS WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT. If it feels right go for it. Right or wrong if you think it is right you're not at fault. Unless it's illegal.

I believe that you can't get respect, you give it. Giving respect takes empathy, accountability, courageousness, and to be charitable with your time, knowledge and money, regardless of how much or little you may have. Respect is reciprocated to one who will give themselves unconditionally.
