I wish I could give you a good answer, but I once had a book that said there were over 50,000 world religions. I've only studied about 15-20 of those, so sorry.

i cant be bothered to write it all down for you but if you go to
religioustolerance.org/var_rel.htm you should be able to find out easily at least get a good enough answer for your RE teacher
Also you could try telling him or her that a Degree in Theology was just a great waste of time money and effort as there is no such thing as a God out there

Besides Buddhism, Christianism, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism you also have : Baha'ism ,Confucianism ,Indigenous, Jainism ,
New Age, Rastafarianism, Shintoism ,Sikhism, Taoism ,Wicca, and Zoroastrianism ......
That should be a good start for real "world religions" !

it must be a trick question there are far to many to count plus thats only half of the ones that are well known there are so many people havnt even acknowleged yet, so tell that to ur re teacher and ul get an a, thats what i did when i was at school and he liked it because i thought outside of the box. dont do what every1 else does and counts 123? thats rubbish theres to many to even contemplate so take my advice ur teacher will be pleased.

I read that there are 30,000 separate and recognized religions on this planet - of which there are approximately 2 to 3,000 "christian" spin-offs.
