Is it alright to wear makeup. To wear jewelry, Like a cross, to have a fish on your vehicle to honor God. You intent is what is important not your actions. All things are good in the sight of God that are intended to honor him.

Sure, I do. I take it you have run across some of those who think Christmas and Easter are pagan holidays and do not celebrate them.
Something that all of you need to know is...all Christians are not the same. There is a very wide difference of thought within the Christian community.
Some believe that every word of the Bible is literal and factual, some believe the Old Testament is mostly symbolic and meant to be a historical account that was originally handed down through the generations by word of mouth. Some believe the apostles letters (after Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, in the New Testament) are to be taken exactly as written and some believe they were written to certain churches that were starting up and having difficulties at that time and should be viewed as such. Some think the end is near and will argue for hours about "signs", some believe none of us will know when the end is coming.
Some feel they must try to "save" anyone who does not believe as they do (including other Christians). Some believe you must be totally dunked in the water to be baptized, some believe a little sprinkle is enough and some do not think you need to be baptized at all, that God baptizes you when you accept him in your life. Some have music, even contemporary music in their ceremony, and some allow no music.
And this is not even getting into differences in theology and doctrinal differences, which are too great and too far apart to explain here.
So when you want to find out about Christians, keep that in mind. And when you want to make proclamations about "Christians" remember that you are talking about a very wide range of beliefs. And yes, some will make proclamations about "Athiests" and other world beliefs, but I suspect you do not all think the same way either, so I promise not to stereotype you.
For me, the most important belief we must have and the most vital commandment we must follow is to Love God and Love Our Neighbor...yep, that means EVERYONE of our neighbors from EVERYWHERE.

If you believe your society or religion forbids it, NO. Otherwise, of course it's okay. There's no harm done in decorating a tree or painting eggs. This is especially true if the activities allow you to spend time with the ones you love. In itself, it's a harmless activity. It's up to you to decide whether religious doctrines and thought should stop you.
Personally, I don't celebrate any Holidays for religious reasons. I appreciate the time to be with those I care about.

Why wouldn't it be? Decorating a tree or an egg doesn't speak to your spiritual beliefs, it speaks to your fondness for decorating trees and eggs.

Why not? Or would it offend the tree to be added to, or the egg to have it's natural state altered?

I have a friend who truly denounces these pagan practices. for me, it's no worry. I don't think this will affect me getting to heaven anymore than not wearing a scarf on my head 24 seven.
