Pilonidal cyst ???
what is it? how do you get it?
i said that i was having unbearable pain around my tailbone area... could this be what it possibly is?
there are no visable lumps, bumps, or "pimples" of any kind...
i have not poped anything, as right now there is nothing to pop.
could it be under the skin? so that i can not see it?

I always thought that I just had a tailbone that bruised easily until one time last spring when the pain started getting worse and it turned out that' I've always had a pilonidal cyst. I recccommend going to the doctor or the ER if you don't have a doctor. If it's a cyst and hurts that much, there's a good chance it can't drain on it's own and you'll have to have it lanced. Waiting will only make it worse. The actual cyst is congential, but I think there are several different reasons it can become infected.

A pilonidal cysts look like big pimples. You could have badly bruised or even fractured your tailbone--did you fall or sit down really hard? You should see your doctor and get an xray.

I just looked at a page that is comprised of personal stories and how they dealt with them medically. If you read through some of the articles, you will find out much more than if I rather blindly read for you, not knowing enough from your short description. I hope this helps you out - click here--> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&hs=ft2&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=pilonidal+cyst+coccyx&spell=1
