put it in the mailbox.....whoever gets it will just have to fork over the money for a stamp.

if the address was close and it was a small envolope i would deliver it. If it was a parcel or the address was 2 far away i would leave it or tell someone else

If I felt like it I might pick it up and toss it in the mailbox or to be honest I might just leave it where it was in the street.

Take it to the post office. Of if you aren't cheap throw a stamp on it and mail it directly.

Drop it in the closest mail box. You have done the right thing and now it is up to the post office to do the rest. The some goes for lost wallets.

I'd probably leave it right there. You can never tell in such peculiar situations. Could be a set up...and I don't think that is is worth it to get in the middle of something like that
