Where can I find Freelance Environmentalist writers / journalists / thinkers?

I am in the process of setting up a magazine for environmental issues. Before anyone gets too excited, I'm doing this on a really low budget, and will have to be very non-largesse (I was trying to think of an alternative word to tight!) at least until there is some evidence of success (and preferably some turnover too!)
I am looking for well balanced writers, willing to look at many sides to each argument in an intelligent way, and not afraid to really search for truth...........

When it was announced on the news that bigger cars were going to be charged more for the London congestion, my hubby and i did a little victory dance on our probably, overpopulated living room floor. It is about time, that some form of equilibrium is established as regards those who feel too wealthy to care about our ailing environment.
Now I always find it ...err...somewhat ironic, that my husband, who's a smoker, is totally absorbed with the melting arctic ice, and all our furry fuzzy little friends from all four corners of the world, and their well-being, not of course, forgetting our own, and how we co-exist in the natural ecosystem which makes us all tick. We would like to work on a project like this together with you, I for my writing (i'm a published poet, languages teacher and my husband's got a diploma in biology of some sort, he's not here right now, so i can't be more specific)...WHEN DO WE START?

I'd be interested in getting involved. I'm very passionate about the environment and feel strongly that people need to get involved over this important issue. Currently I'm studying mathematics and philosophy at university, so I've had plenty of experience writing essays and considering arguments from many different view points.

Currently, I write for the Environment section of the local newspaper where I live. What are the qualifications that you're looking for? I already have many articles published and I have a degree in Environmental Science.

I'm a freelance writer and editor, but haven't worked on anything to do with environmental issues though. Always looking for new stuff to add to my repertoire - money isn't always an issue.

i'll give it ago, I live near wylfa power station that is going to closed in a few years, there are plans to build a new one, I know people who work in the Aluminium plant that needs the power stations output plus many of the local business's that rely on the Aluminium plant. Could be a story here.
