The Holy Spirit has revealed the truth to me, through God's word- and through Believing in what Jesus Christ did on the cross for me- As the bible says, the Holy Spirit would come to help those who believe and lead them into all truth.
The word of God is alive and active. I know that the word of God is powerful- for the Lord has shown me. And I know he teaches me through it. It strengthens my faith in Him and keeps me on solid ground with Him- rooted and grounded- so that I am not led astray by different doctrines. The Bible is the truth of God and it is God breathed (2 Timothy)- Men who wrote it were carried along by the Holy Spirit ( 1 Peter)
God gave us His word for our instruction- for our spiritual growth in Him- for teaching us, and keeping us rooted in faith. We who believe in Jesus Christ, abide by what the Bible says- because we know it is the word of God- and to know Jesus Christ one must hear the word- For as it says in Romans 10:17 "Faith comes from hearing, and by hearing the word of God"
--The holy spirit convicts those who hear the gospel- and many believe.

The usual Christian answer-it's a faith thing. It can't be proven. Get ready for all the "the Bible is the most sold book in the whole world" "the Bible has been reprinted millions of times and yet it stays accurate." You can say all this stuff and it may help skeptics, but it still can't be proven for sure.
Add on: Yes, it is the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. I suppose the question wasn't "How do you prove to a non-believer that the Bible is God's word." If it was, I would ask how do you prove to a non-believer who does not have the Holy Spirit's inner witness that the Bible is the word of God - WITHOUT using the Bible?

The fact is we don't The bible was just another things placed to "test your faith" It very well (like i believe) could be crazy men that was crazy or even skidzo and wrote down in a book the voices in there head........or it could just be a book used to teach men lessons much like the kids bed time storys about a gingerbread man and a fox and such The bible As well goes against somthings that were already written so how can it be the work of one person??? i would figure god would remember what he had written but that is just me

Ahh, very good indeed. I can only go by what others have said.
Personally, since God does not come down to edit His galleries, the Bible, at best, merely represents the word of God

The Bible was written by several different people and has gone through so many edits it's no longer close to anybody's word.

Those who think the Bible is God's word have not done their research. Or, they have, and are in denial.

I'm disappointed in the other answers from Christians. It's by the inner witness of the Holy Spirit in the heart.

Initially you have to choose to believe it. If only because God has allowed it to endure centuries of scutiny, and still we have it in our hands today. You have it because God wants you to have it. Then later, the truth that you find there will impact your life...then you will know.

Because it has been protected for so long with little change, and because its principles work and bring peace to my soul.
