Wrong, you are using false logic. One can become a better person without bringing down those around them. Religion is a personal and individual thing, and if it makes you better as a person, then I don't see a problem with it. Christianity does not teach it's people they are better than those who are not Christian, they are just on a different path. Christianity is not about beating out others in some religion race, it's about reaching a specific goal, on a spiritual level. Being a good person in the world, however, does not typically deal with spiritual matters, but worldly. So, there can be great people in any religion or culture, and I think Christians, at least good Christians, will be the first to recognize this.

Every religion practicer believes their religion is better than others...otherwise, they would not be practicing it. Why would someone say "I'm buddhist, even though I know Christianity is better" lol
Another thing to is that every religion considers a higher power of some sort and practicing certain principles and disciplines, and acknowledging a higher power makes you humble. Thus, feeling like your life has structure makes you feel like a better person. You are singling out the Christian religion but the same can be applied to every other religion out there.

I like the answers forgiven/different.
I'm not what I want to be, but I'm not what I used to be. The comparison one has is between the old life and new life. It is a question of life and not better morals or actions; though those should be a result.
A Christian is measured by God and against God. If I am to be judged a better person it should be by others and not myself. Yet God is my final judge whatever men may say.
Jesus talked about the man who prayed how he was "not like other men" and did his religious duty of prayer and giving. And Jesus said the man "prayed to himself thus." In other words God did not hear him!!!
Now if you become a top pro football player; you know you are better and so does everybody else. Your analogy from belief suffers because one does not choose to become a Christian without God first calling.

I personally don't know what I believe in. Nor do i feel that I should have to listen to the boring talk of people trying to convert me over to their side. I wouldn't want to sit there and tell people to give up on what they want to believe in. Everything that we have been taught about Heaven and Hell and religion we will never know is completely true until it is our turn. I don't understand why people of any religion or no religion may feel they are better then others. If in fact you do believe... I thought all people are suppose to be equal. That is clearly untrue in the society that we live in. You are supose to do onto others as you want them to do onto you.

I am a better person because of Jesus Christ. I would never think that makes me a better person than anyone else. There may be thousands of religions, but there is only one God and He is the Father of Jesus.

I DO believe that becoming a Christian made me a better person. Not a better person that anyone else, but a better person than my former self.

The term means better to serve mankind through God's love otherwise we (Christians) would not care about the salvation of others. Better spiritually..kinder more tenderhearted, joyful, respectful, especially better attitude towards others.Slow to anger, quick to listen, sharing what we have with the needy, being a friend.

You know what, YOU, along with all those other religions will one day realize what the BIBLE contains.....The truth. Some will continue to choose to serve satan and the Bible states that all will not be saved, its sad but true, and what makes me along with many many others so much better than those non-believers is that.....WE HAVE JESUS

I am not better- I am just forgiven of my sins through Jesus Christ. Any good in me, is because of Him, and not of myself. All glory belongs to Jesus Christ! I am secure in Christ and I know the truth- but saying that does not make me a better person- for we all have fallen short of the glory of God- and we have all sinned against Him--Romans 3
I have put my faith in Jesus Christ and asked for his forgiveness, knowing full well I want to repent of sin and follow Him- because he is the only reason we live! We are all human- and we all make mistakes- even christians- But believing in Jesus Christ was the one mistake we did NOT make- it has given us eternal life in Him- and a wonderful relationship with Him while we are here on Earth. He has saved my soul from hell- I am eternally greatful to Him! I love Him with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. But believe me I am not a better person- just renewed through Jesus Christ~ and the truth has become more clear everyday. He took the veil off my eyes. And as I said before anything good in me, is Him in me.
For Jesus says "Apart from Me, you can do nothing"

I don't "must" anything
Since when does 1+1=8? People come up with some weird conclusions. Where's the logic in that?
