Depends on what you like to do. For me, I'd say a singles cruise (if you're looking for that special someone) if not, then a regular cruise. Why a cruise? well, cause you can choose to mingle with other people, or be buy yourself. Depending on what cruise line you take, there are plenty of activities AND you can see far and exotic places.

Depending on your cash flow... Check this out-

Fly into Amsterdam and hike, hostel, and rail your way down to Sicily...then fly back to the States out of Rome...You can do this for less than 2 grand..and done well in 10 days to 2 weeks... or less...the fun is in the traveling and not actually arriving.. this way you'll meet tons of cool people and since you have no destination there is nowhere you need to be...so everywhere is cool.

2) New Zealand...Head into Arthur's Pass rent a cool room in a mountain cottage for a about 15.00 a night.. cool town great pub awesome day hikes into the mountains...here is a great base for resting up and gearing up to head into the mountains for 1-? days hikes and solo camping.. tons of huts along the mountains, most within a day's hike of each other...secluded so you'll get time with nature and yourself...but folks will come hiking along usually once or twice a day, so if you twist your ankle or something, your OK..just chill and wait...Arthur's Pass is a small Alpine Village and the locals kick *** so you'll have plenty of people to hang with even if your on you own..really super cool folks up there...if you got your own gear (you don't need much really) you can head over to NZ and do this trip for two weeks for around 2500.00

What about singles type resorts like Club Med? Or can you find a group to go with - like a ski club, travel club - in your area? That way you can book a single room but still be with folks if you want. If you have an alternative newspaper in your area that caters to singles and the "scene" you may find some legitimate ads there.

i'd go on a rafting trip down the colorado river in the grand canyon. you'll join a group, meet others, get some thrills and see amazzing scenery. but, it might be getting a little cold for that now......
