She has been potty trained for about ten months now but she still has to wear a pull up to bed. How do I get her to understand to go to the potty at night? I never had this problem with my son and I just don't know what to do.

Just don't let her have one.. She might put up a fight, but if you're consistent about it, she'll give it up. Go buy her some pretty girlie panties and maybe she'll get excited about being a big girl!! Good luck

Dont stress, its no big deal really. And who really wants to take a pull up away and get ths kid up in the middle of the night or have to wash sheets constantly, not many.. My oldest if 4 1/2 and she still has accidents sometimes. She was off and on in pull ups for quite a while too after she learned to us the potty. I think at night kids dream and often times just dont realize that they need to go. Just when its about 2 hours or so before bed dont let her have much to drink and make sure she goes potty before going to bed and after a while she will stop needing the pull ups at night. And dont make a big deal of it or it will just take longer. Hope this helps! HAve a Great Day!

Push plenty of liquids (offer them hourly) during the day, so that she's hydrated, but after 5:00 pm only give on a request-only-basis and even then a very SMALL amount since she's had so much during the day. Make sure going to the bathroom is the last thing you do before bedtime and tell her that you want her to keep her undies dry, but that if it does get wet by accident that it's ok and that she's growing up and will soon wake up dry every mroning. You may have to change her sheets once or maybe twice, but this alone may make her stop. If she's relaxed and feels safe about it, she'll be confident. If she's fearful, then it will be a long haul. Also tell her that if she has 3 nights of dry undies at night you'll take her out for ice cream to celebrate her success. Heck for the price of the pull ups you'll be saving you can take her to a jewelery shop and get her gold earrings!!!! ;o) (just kidding lol..)
These tips should work like a charm.

Make sure to stop giving her drinks fairly early in the evening and encourage her to go to the bathroom before bed. As far as her waking up at night...I'm not sure there is a way to make her do that..unless you want to wake her up every few hours to go to the bathroom. If she is a heavy sleeper you might just have to stick with the pullups. My son is 4 and he's been potty trained for two years and on occasion he'll still have an accident here or there. It's rare but it does happen. As he got a little bit bigger he started getting up at night to go to the bathroom but like I said once and a great while he'd wake up and it would be too late.

Research states that children don't acquire the ability to "hold" it all night until around the age of 6. Just think of this as you don't have to do a lot of laundry. For my son's "accidents" I was using Febreeze but I found that Distilled Vinegar is great as a smell fighter. I also use a little in the wash to get rid of the smell.

just dont let her wear them
tell her to go night night potty
but leaving the pull ups on is just making it harder
just take them away
i never even used them with my son and he was fully potty trained in two weeks
after that he wet the bed twice
you have to just take the diapers/pull ups
just let her wear her "big girl panties" to bed
and she might pee the bed
but thats ok it happens
she wont like the feeling of laying in that pee and shell stop
shell wake up in the night after and youll have to get up and clean her up but it wont take long for her to get that if she doesnt go before bed
shell pee in her bed
even though shes little
my son was 1 and a half
and he got it
3 is plenty big

good luck

It is perfectly normal for your 3 year old to wear a pull up at night.Don't stress over it, the more you talk to her about it the longer it will take. Let her decide when she is ready, she will let you know.

Depends on if she's wetting the bed at night. If she wakes up dry then try having her pick out some cool undies to wear at night.
If she wakes up wet, I would just continue letting her wear them. She will evenlually grow out of it.

my 3 year old still wears one at night. i think they just eventually get to wear they can hold it all night long. some nights she's dry and some nights she's not. Try not to let her have a drink at least 2 hours before her bedtime.

Well don't let her wear a pullup, it's your responsibility to get her in the habit of getting up twice a night to go potty, so wake her up put her on the pot and let her go!

Limiting her fluid intake at night may be a good idea- no drinks after dinner. Just make it part of her bedtime routine like brushing teeth, peepee, wash your hands, good night sweetie!
