I wonder the same. These people want a very quick fix. It can happen easy if you do all the right things. I was never overweight but heading there and I decided after my 3rd baby I want and I can have that body I want. Like probably these ppl it seemed impossible and you dont want to suffer w/o guarenteed results. But I made up my mind,I use common sense and here I am, I weigh 112 now, size 1/2 and fit. I look at cake now and unlike before I have no desire. There are pleanty of healthy yummy things to stuff my face with.

They think that some magic solution has appeared since they read about diet and exercise last week! Its the same with the diet pill questions and the questions from kids who are already underweight and you have well meaning answerers telling them how to lose even more. If only they had read the question they would have seen the kid is already under weight!

Because people want a magic pill. They are lazy and not willing to do the hard work involved with finding the answer, nor to live the lifestyle involved. What they fail to realize is simple...if there were a magic pill..everyone would be taking it. It's not easy and requires hard work. This is a part of life.

People are paranoid about their weight. Secondly, you are absolutely correct, if you want different results in your life you have to do things differently. The age old definition of stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. 2 + 2 will always be 4, if you want a different answer, change the formula. I hate to say this America, but wake up, your lives will only change when you get off your over weight asses and do something different.

People keep asking because 1 out of about every 3 people in America is overweight. The answers that they have found take too much time and require too much commitment; so they are looking for a quick and easy solution.

No one wants to be fat any longer than they have to be.

Well, most people know how to lose weight - through discipline. A healthy diet and exercise is all that's needed to be in good shape.

But people really want to hear an easier way to lose weight. And since there doesn't exist one, they keep asking.

I think it's also to offload some guilt - by making it public that they'd like to lose weight, they try to redeem themselves in their own eyes.

I agree. Doing a simple search can get you the answers you want, even if you're only searching the Yahoo Answers site.

What gets me is those who are asking "How do I lose 25 lbs in the next 3 days? It's an emergency!"

Who are they kidding?

People are lazy slobs who would rather complain about being obese and overweight than actually eat right and exercise. It's easier to claim you "can't" lose the weight than to actually work hard to achieve it.
