It isn't something you can know - logic tends to be on shakey ground when it comes to love - but it is what you feel. Get past the lust and the pink and fluffy feelings of just being wanted. See the other person for everything they are, bad points included, and want nothing more or less than to have them in your life to make sure they are wanting nothing and to keep them as happy as a Disney Princess on her wedding day.
If you have to over analyse it, you're probably not quite there. Stop thinking about it - enjoy who you're with and let things happen in their own time.

Is that other person always on your mind? Does it make you happy to know that they are in your world, whether they are close or not in distance? Does their welfare matter to you as much as your own? Is their spirituality, their happiness, their well- being of utmost importance to you? Would you be unhappy yourself if making THEM happy made you that way? A person who loves in a genuine way wants what is best for the other person, whether it's the easiest or the most fun. If you said yes... you might just be in love! :)
