such a different life, and set of morals? I really would like to know the reasoning behind this...

OK, Jesus freak, besides wasting my Sundays in a church, and believing in your God, how is my life so different and immoral?

These idiots responding here (like Jack and JesusFreak) are already assuming that you're an immoral and "lesser" person. They don't even know you.

This is a prime example of why religion is a scourge on humanity, and is the greatest threat to our survival that currently exists.

This makes me absolutely sick. I'd better take the day off today. I can't handle much more of this.

Hmmm, you want me to give you an impartial answer, or show you the same intolerance you just showed someone? I do not concider it wasting my Sundays when I go to church. It's a special time for me, one that I won't give up because some stupid football game is on.

As for thinking you're immoral, or anything like that, I judge that on a person to person basis. If you show me that you are immoral, then I will judge you as such. However, I don't know you, and have no opinion of you.

of course you live a different life. we all do. one christian leads a different life than the other christian does. becuase we all make choices and we all make mistakes. just becuase we believe in something doesnt mean that we don't stray sometimes and make bad choices. I am a christian and i am VERY glad that you said why do "some" and not "all"...we are all guilty of putting everyone in the same category/group when that is a total misconception. I don't think that non Christians don't have morals at all. just becuase I am a believer and the next person isn't, doesnt mean that the non believer is going to go murder somebody or live a life full or crime or violence or whatever. any questions that I have asked are meant to be totally non judgemental. I just am curious as to what a non believers thinking is and how they got there. but yes, you are very true there are some people out there who think just becuase you are not saved that you are a horrible person, and they are ignorant. From a Christians point of view, I believe in Jesus Christ and I have faith in him to lead me on the straight and narrow and to live a life that pleases Him and gives Him glory, and wanting EVERYONE in the world to get that same love is just a natural way to think. (in my opinion)

Bud couldnt have said it better....

I am a Christian. I do not say that you do not have morals or can be kind, generous or a host of other attributes that most would consider "good" traits to have. You probably possess many of these positive traits in a greater amount than I do.

The point is that your morals, lack of or abundance of, are not what is going to save you. Christians recognize that they are not perfect, they have a desire to be in a relationship with God and realize that it is their own "sin" that prevents that. So they humble themselves and accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for them on the cross. That sacrifice was accepted by God as evidence of the ressurection of the Christ.

A Christian is not better than you. You are not better than Christians. Those are standards set up by men (womean too). The difference lies in what each person does with that knowledge.

Thank you for qualifying your statement as being about "some" Christians, as many know better. Unfortunately, some are taught to regard with distrust anyone not of their faith. Even more unfortunately, this is not limited to Christians.

spanky: "those who dont have a relationship with the Lord do not see the need to be loving and kind to others"

You believe a lie, Spanky. Non-Christians are just as likely to be loving and kind as Christians, as we're all humans. Those, like myself, who do not believe in a supernatural guardian watching over us from above know that we humans must rely upon and help one another. We don't just walk past the dying man and say, "God will take care of him." We stop and help because we're all in this together, and we're all that we have.

One thing that certainly separates some of the respondents here from most of the Humanists and atheists I know is that we don't believe that good works and how we treat others is ultimately irrelevant. It matters very much.

Religious fanatics such as those people dont have strong enough minds to understand that religion is a human developed concept and that people dont need religion to have the proper morals and values. They in effect have been brainwashed.

Anyone can be good. Anyone can be compassionate and loving. But the truth is, without Jesus Christ- you will not inherit the kingdom of God- so all these good works you do without faith in Jesus Christ are going to add up to nothing in the end- It is not works that get us to heaven- It is believing in Jesus Christ and repenting of sin- understanding God's standards and realzing you have sinned against Him. Until then, one will never come the knowledge of the truth. So like I said anyone can do good- but no one is actually "good" as it says in Romans 3. The only good in me, is Jesus Christ living in me. So those that do works and are kind to others- well that is good and all, but without Jesus Christ you will always be lost, and down a dark road.

2 Timothy 3:7
always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

Because most Christians want to be different and feel special as Christians so they don't look to find the similarities, only the differences, and if they don't find differences enough they will make up a false story and defame you to make themselves look better than you and different from you..

I don't think that. I'm a Christian and I know alot of non-Christians that are very good moral ppl. Real Christians don't think they are above everyone and we are not taught to not trust ppl of non faith. We are taught to love them as we love ourselves.

We don't.

I would suspect that people who actually attack the Christian way of life have different morals to Christians though.
